A comprehensive plan is the result of a community-based planning process that draws on the general public, stakeholders, and experts.  Wise planning ensures that furture development will take place in a manner compatible with the best interests of the community.

Local Governments in Georgia are required to submit comprehensive plans to Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) every ten years.  The Greater Tift County 2030 Comprehensive Plan will meet the planning requirements for Tift County and the Cities of Omega, Tifton, and Ty Ty.  It will plan for a period of time up until the year 2030.

This site is intended to provide general information regarding the Greater Tift County 2030 planning process, however, it in no way includes all data or information.  Those with questions or comments are encouraged to contact Julia Shewchuk, SGRDC  Planning Director.
